Date: Sept TBD
Time: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Location: 440 Brannan Street, San Francisco, CA 94107
It’s exciting to focus on creating a beautiful image but without good audio, a shot can be unwatchable. We’ll show you varied methods to record great audio, when to use them, and how. You’ll learn what the different types of microphones are, tricks and tips for using them in various situations, and what to listen for when recording.
Manu writes and edits video content with his company Pixel Valley Studio in the SF Bay area. His experience as an audio engineer began in the early ’90’s in NYC when he ran his own recording studio. He was a co-founder of the machinima animation pioneers the ILL Clan in 1997. He has produced and edited over 76 video how-to’s for his Youtube Channel Pull My Focus.
While we focus on general video camera techniques, we do not teach the detailed operation of specific camera types and models. Attendees will need to review their owner’s manual for instructions specific to their make and model.
